R1D1 of Whole30 begins today for me. I with my the advise of my wellness coach Connie T. have decided a grain free approach to eating is going to be best for me to really help eliminate my inflammation. Whole 30 is a wonderful eating plan to do this with. Besides all the other health benefits you get from this 30 day eating plan.
Think of it as a short-term nutritional reset, designed to help you put an end to unhealthy cravings and habits, restore a healthy metabolism, heal your digestive tract, and balance your immune system.
Certain food groups (like sugar, grains, dairy and legumes) could be having a negative impact on your health and fitness without you even realizing it. Are your energy levels inconsistent or non-existent? Do you have aches and pains that can’t be explained by over-use or injury? Are you having a hard time losing weight no matter how hard you try? Do you have some sort of condition (like skin issues, digestive ailments, seasonal allergies or fertility issues) that medication hasn’t helped? These symptoms may be directly related to the foods you eat—even the “healthy” stuff. – Whole 30 Website
What does R1D1 mean?
Take the new eating plan one day at a time. DO NOT focus on what your giving up, instead focus on what you will be achieving and feeling at the end of 30 days. The new healthful benefits you will gain are incredible. You will love the new way you feel. I know I will.
I encourage you to check out the Whole30 plan at their website.

What challenges do I personally face?
- coffee, finding a compliant creamer for my coffee in the morning, I found NutPods at Amazon.com.
- Eating vegetables is not a normal part of my diet, but I actually do enjoy them raw.
- Eating eggs is not a normal part of my diet either, but I can eat one now and again.
I have been eating clean for two months now, this is just Kicking It In High Gear for me! Taking my new eating plan one day at a time. Focusing on how I am going to feel in 30 days, amazing! Giving up all the bad stuff in my diet that is effecting my overall health and well being.
Are you doing Whole30? Have you done it before? Got a website? Any comments, please leave one!
Did you know there are three(3) foundations to live a healthy vibrant life.
1. eating well
2. sleeping well
3. moderate exercise
These three things are key to building the foundation of your healthy life on. They are three key ingredients to conquer depression too. I have found them invaluable in my quest to level up myself, my life, and heal my depression.
I myself have recently embarked on a 14 week journey to wellness and healing. 6 weeks in and I feel so good. Even my mind is functioning better. I am functioning on a whole new level I have not been in alignment with for years. Good food will do that to you. Giving up gluten, corn, soy, dairy, and sugar will do that to you too. Read a little more about my wellness journey; click here.
I sleep a minimum of 10 hours a night. Sleep is the only time our bodies get to heal. So it’s essential to heal and rejuvenate yourself nightly.
Moderate exercise of 30-45 minutes 3 times a week or daily movement help keep all systems running optimally.
Build a life worth having. Remember these three key ingredients.

My breakfast routine…
Each morning when I wake up I drink my Metagenics Glutagenics Supplement. This supplement helps heal my leaky gut.
After 20 minutes I take a combination of two things in water my Vital Proteins Pasture-Raised, Grass-Fed Collagen Peptides & Organifi – Green Juice Super Food Supplement
These two supplements give me a green juice energy boost without all the mess juicing produce gives you and protein and collagen to help with inflammation.
After waiting another 30 minutes for the green juice drink to digest it’s time for some Gluten, Soy, Sugar, and Dairy free breakfast. I many times choose GF Oatmeal or Quinoa with added plain flavored whey protein. Or a GF cereal that is low in sugar with unsweetened almond milk. Breakfast is an important meal of the day to get you off to a healthy start. During breakfast I also have a cup of Organic Chia tea with 1t raw honey. I also take my vitamin supplements after eating breakfast, like Fish Oil, B-Complex, Multivitamin, Osteo Bi-Flex, and Sam-E.
I am finding a healthy way to start my day is important.
Makes me feel so much better.
After my breakfast is also when I workout, for at least 30 minutes on the treadmill or elliptical. This exercise gives me a wonderful energy boost to start my day too.
Start your day off right.
Oh yes, there are days I enjoy one latte made with coconut milk too. If I need a little extra energy/caffeine boost. You will see a lot of latte posts on my social media.
Let me know what you do to start the day off right?
